Getting Around Aspen.
Aspen/Pitkin County Airport: Transportation to and from the airport is effortless and affordable via ground shuttles, taxis, limousines or local buses. Some hotels provide free transportation to/from the airport, please check with your hotel. If your visit requires you to drive to your final destination, please consider these affordable and convenient car rental companies.
Hotels, shops and restaurants are within comfortable walking distance of most lodges. But should you need a lift, Aspen has many taxis, limos, and hotel courtesy vans that provide service around town.
Public Transportation: Aspen has an amazing public transportation system, the Roaring Fork Transportation Authority (RFTA). RFTA provides free local shuttle service between Snowmass Village and Aspen, the Village Shuttles which operate within Snowmass Village are also free. RFTA also operates free skier shuttles to all of the area ski mountains in winter, as well as a $6 guided tour to the Maroon Bells during the summer. RFTA also provides routes extending to other Roaring Fork Valley communities, including Basalt, El Jebel, Carbondale, Glenwood Springs and beyond. Schedules, Fares & Maps: 970.925.8484, www.rfta.com
Taxis, Shuttles, Etc...: Uber is now available in Aspen, download the app in the app store. We also have many taxi and shuttle companies available in town.
Biking: Aspen is extremely bike friendly. We have many trails and pedestrians bike ways available to facilitate the freedom of biking around town. You can rent a bicycle from one of our local businesses or try We-cycle, a point-to-point, bicycle transportation system. Check out a bike from any of the 20 stations, ride it to another station close to your destination, and check the bike back in. Biking is a fast, fun, and convenient way to get around town!
Parking: If you choose to drive to downtown Aspen we have several parking options.
