American Renewable Energy Institute - AREDAY

This year will include an extensive renewable energy expo featuring the latest breakthroughs in renewable energy technology, sustainability and energy efficiency, an evening Gala Event, a Film Festival, and free concert featuring Taj Mahal and the Phantom Brass band.

Stepping Stones of the Roaring Fork Valley

Stepping Stones is a community-based youth mentoring program that operates drop-in centers for youth and young adults (Ages 10-21) in the Roaring Fork Valley. Our philosophy is that strong, long-term relationships with positive adult role models are the key to empowering youth within our community. Some of our participants face a variety of challenges including food security, neglect, homelessness, and substance use. 

Our drop-in centers are open five days a week and provide a diverse, bilingual atmosphere where participants and staff feel comfortable sharing meaningful life experiences and challenges. Stepping Stones maintains a 10:1 youth to mentor ratio and each participant works with staff towards individualized goals within a family environment. To meet the unique needs of our participants, we off free services including skill development, nightly dinner, transportation assistance, basic needs support, one-on-one tutoring, community engagement, arts and recreational programming.
