Winter Bucket List
You’ve seen the videos, heard the stories, and you want a piece of the action for yourself!
9 am: Head over to Aspen Highlands with plans to hike the Highlands Bowl. You’ll need to purchase a “Bowl Strap” either from the Ski Patrol shack at the top of the mountain, or from in town outdoor retailer Ute Mountaineer. We recommend a few warm-up laps before the big hike. Aspen Highlands favorites include Thunderbowl, Steeplechase and Deep Temerity.
2 pm: Since you’re in the know, you’ve made reservations at the coveted 2 pm seating at Cloud Nine, for their epic dance party with a side of champagne spray and delicious alpine cuisine. If you don’t have a reservation you can still enjoy an adult beverage on their sunshine filled deck. After hiking the bowl you certainly have earned it.
10 pm: Keep the party going by catching your favorite band at Belly Up Aspen.
*A few notes from the legal team:
Highlands Bowl hike is not for everyone. Even when choosing to utilize the snowcat which can take you part of the way up the ridge, you still must hike to an elevation of 12,392 feet to ski the double black diamond – experts-only terrain. Risks include death. Be prepared and know before you go.
If you have over indulged at Cloud Nine we recommend requesting assistance from Ski Patrol to descend the mountain. Familiarize yourself with Colorado’s Skier Responsibility Pledge.
