ACRA BUSINESS & NON-PROFIT OF THE YEAR AWARD PROGRAM
The purpose of this program is to recognize excellence in businesses in the Roaring Fork Valley.
The ACRA Businesses of the Year is a long-standing program designed to recognize business excellence in the Roaring Fork Valley. It’s a chance to overtly appreciate organizations that value and reach unparalleled quality, consistency and service.
These awards are chosen by special committee, and will be presented at the ACRA Wintersköl Awards Lunch on Thursday, January 10th, 2019. Applications will be accepted from Monday, November 5th through Friday, December 7th at 5 p.m. Please contact Claire Sacco at (970) 920-7131 with any questions.
The application period for the 2018 Large Business of the Year (>25 Employees), Small Business of the Year (<24 Employees), and Non-Profit of the Year, will open on November 5th, Save the date for Thursday, January 10th, 2019 for the Wintersköl Awards Luncheon to honor the 2018 winners.
Applications are for one of the following awards:
1. Large and Small Business of the Year. Must be in continuous operation for at least three years. Awarded to the business that has shown profitability, growth and sustainability along with a commitment to community service. Large business is classified as 25 or more employees, small business is classified as less than 25 employees.
2. Non-Profit of the Year. In operation for at least three years. Recognizes a non-profit organization that has developed a close partnership with the Roaring Fork Valley community as a means to achieve its mission.
Applicants must be current ACRA members in good standing. All entries are confidential and will be reviewed by an appointed committee composed of business and professional persons in the Aspen area. While creativity is encouraged, selections will be based on the evaluation of the responses to the questions, presentation and content. If your business has previously WON an award through this program, you must wait a 7 year period since winning the award, before applying again.
Winners receive (2) two tickets to attend the 2019 Wintersköl Awards Luncheon for the awards ceremony where they will be honored. Winners will also be recognized in the Aspen Daily News and The Aspen Times, announced on local radio stations, and interviewed on GrassRoots TV. Winners will be placed prominently on the ACRA website, and in Chamber print materials.
