Monday, January 28

History Ski Tour: Aspen Highlands (11 a.m. and 1 p.m., guest service cabin outside Merry Go Round). Ski with a local historian to learn about Aspen Highlands’ “maverick”, innovative, and unique past. These tours meet every Monday at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. The tours are free, but a lift ticket is required to get to the meeting location.

Tuesday, January 29

Winter Words: Cutis Sittenfeld & Emily Jeanne Miller (6 p.m., auditorium at the Aspen Institute Campus). Join Aspen Words in their 22nd Winter Words series with celebrated authors Curtis Sittenfeld and Emily Jeanne Miller as they discuss their best-selling novels. A signing will follow each discussion.

Winter Music Recital Series with Yefim Bronfman (6:30 p.m., Harris Concert Hall). Spend your evening with Yefim Bronfman, internationally recognized as one of today’s most acclaimed and admired pianists. Having been nominated for three Grammy Awards, Yefim Bronfman’s show is one not to be missed. Tickets can be purchased online here.

Wednesday, January 30

Movies at the Museum: Birth of the Living Dead (5:15 p.m., Aspen Art Museum). Join the Aspen Art Museum in this free movie-night featuring a documentary that follows the life of George A. Romera who directed Night of the Living Dead, spawning a zombie industry worth billions of dollars that continues to this day.

ACES: Potbelly Perspectives (7 p.m., Hallam Lake). Wednesday’s Potbelly Perspective will spotlight Nika Meyers & Greg Mauger in their discussion of “Big Miles & Raw Smiles Endurance on America’s Triple Crown Hiking Trails”. Through photos and videos, they will share stories of exception beauty, raw emotion, wild silliness, pure magic, unbelievable generosity, and enjoying the ultimate expression of freedom.

Thursday, January 31

Martin Garrix at Belly Up (10 p.m., Belly Up). Celebrate the night with the number one ranked DJ on DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs list for the past 3 years. Tickets can be purchased online here or at the box office.

Friday, February 1

JAS Café: Chuchito Valdes Trio (through February 2nd, The Little Nell). Join Jazz Aspen Snowmass with Chuchito, recognized as a master of Cuban music. With influences of Caribbean rhythms and jazz, Chuchito creates an exciting energetic blend of spicy music that drives audiences wild. Purchase your tickets online here.

Friday Morning Uphill Breakfast Club (8:45 am, Cliffhouse Restaurant on Buttermilk Mountain). Earn your breakfast in this Uphill Social. Uphill skiers are invited each Friday morning to enjoy breakfast in the Cliffhouse restaurant after hiking up the mountain. Breakfast is available until 10:45 a.m. and is $12.

Saturday, February 2

Aspen’s Annual Fat Bike Race (9 a.m., Aspen Golf Club). Grab your fat bikes (bikes with 3.8 minimum tires) and meet at the Aspen Golf Course for this inaugural racing event. Registration here.

The Crystal Palace Review (6 p.m. & 8:30 p.m., Wheeler Opera House). Co-presented with Palace Productions, Aspen’s longtime favorite musical comedy returns after a 4-year hiatus. This performance will bring their musical review of today’s headlines back to the Wheeler. Purchase tickets online here.

Sunday, February 3

GoldFish at Belly Up (9:30 p.m., Belly Up). The electronic duo from South Africa will keep you on your feet all night with their pioneering mix of saxophones, flutes, double bass, keyboards, and pounding House bears. Purchase tickets online here or at the box office.
