This individual will teach an Outdoor Leadership course at the high school and middle school levels, lead youth in backcountry trips and be responsible for planning and leading two summer camps with the LEAD team. A PARC Aspen Baker will work directly under the Pastry Chef to carry out and provide the highest quality dessert & bakery culinary experience for our guests. The position is the ultimate support beam to the back of house production and is not just a baker but dedicated to the Culinary creation and presentation of pastry and all dining bakery items. The best individual for the job will strive to take ownership of the dessert & pastry presentations and while maintaining excellent communication with the Pastry Chef and other team members. You are 100% necessary to ensure our goal of elevated hospitality is met for all our guests who choose to dine at PARC Aspen.

Job Summary
Our baker at PARC Aspen will work with the Pastry Chef to produce fine baked goods while following the recipes provided. Our baker will ensure quality and freshness of all products using their knowledge and abilities. The baker will prepare items for the regular menu as well as for special events. We want a team player who is willing to go above and beyond to exceed team and guests expectations.
Job Duties
Responsible for opening bakery and turn on all needed equipment for the shift
Take care and feed sourdough as needed
Consistently ensure recipe adherence maintain high level of quality as established by Pastry Chef
Work closely with Pastry Chef on details of recipes & menu design.
Maintain a high level of detail on all bakery & pastry items
Responsible for carrying out the production of baked goods, danish, bread & roll service, flatbreads, pastry goods for dinner & brunch dining
Decorate and present pastries and baked goods in a tasteful and beautiful manner and in the branding style of PARC Aspen
Monitor and list any ingredients, supplies & equipment that is needing repair or ordering.
Maintaining proper storage and rotation of products
Adherence to the standardized “opening and closing” procedures
Must be able to prioritize, organize work and follow through
Understands follow and maintain all standardized recipes
Communicates all needs and issues with Pastry Chef
Ensures the bakery section of the Kitchen adheres to health and safety regulations
Maintain a very favorable working relationship with fellow colleagues in the Kitchen and with management
Complete other pastry related tasks as assigned by Pastry Chef for the kitchen and bakery
Puts the orders in time sequence and checks for any problem orders or time required specialty items
Refrain from all usage of drugs and alcohol while at work, except for within situations approved by management.
Maintain a clean and polished appearance and workspace
Job Qualifications
Previous experience in a restaurant or bakery
Culinary degree or related pastry experience, preferred but not required
ServSafe food handler certification, preferred but not required
Able to in the kitchen work with team
Requires open availability including evenings, weekends and holidays
Passion for bakery and cooking
Willingness to learn new skills & be trained
Experience in 7shifts, Toast & Open Table and any other hospitality technologies a plus
Must bring a positive attitude to work and be willing to contribute to a culture of hospitality within our local community
Must be conversationally fluent in english

Job Functions

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferred
5+ years of related experience required in working in an executive assistant role supporting C-Level executives
Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Google Drive and Apple Products [Quickbooks is a plus]
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally
Flexible hours as dictated by the needs of business for projects and meetings

Job Summary
Expeditor is a hybrid front and back of house, part time position. The Expeditor will work closely with the Executive Chef during service both plating and controlling the flow of tickets. This position requires knife skills, plating ability and full knowledge of ingredients, dietary concerns & menu options. The Expeditor must be able to communicate with the front of the house and run food when absolutely necessary, being professional and personable whenever running plates tableside & very guest-oriented when working with the private dining room guests and events.
Job Duties
Set up expediting station to include garnishes and plating needs
Wipe plates to ensure high quality presentation
Manage ticket rail and computer screen. Ensure sent orders are properly removed from the queue
Stock and use plating utensils
Ensure printers and loaded with paper, and the backup rolls are within reach during service
Stock plates, to include garnish line, and requests from line cooks
Calling and firing tickets, managing the flow of orders
Knowledge of ingredients in all dishes, including allergens
Ability to plate dishes and garnish as shown by chefs
Running food as needed, don’t let kitchen back up
Breaking down expo station
Refrain from all usage of drugs and alcohol while at work, except for within situations approved by management

Job Summary
Prepares food for service under the supervision of Executive Chef and Sous Chefs. Assists in set-up, service, end of night, and maintenance of station. Ensures all food prep is properly stored and labeled. Takes ownership over the station and follows recipes with great detail and precision; consistent with food preparation and maintains a high level of attention to detail in all dish preparations.

Puts away deliveries and breaks down boxes as deliveries arrive
