The John Denver Sanctuary is located just across the park from the Rio Grande Place Visitors Center. The memorial features many of the singers' songs etched into the rocks. It is an idyllic location and visitors will not wonder for long where Rocky Mountain High originated.
Each October, fans gather in Aspen for a weeklong celebration of John's life. The week includes an array of events from concerts to picnics to pay tribute to the singer. All events support the expansion of John Denver's music, causes and ideas. Click for more information on John Denver Week.
There is no public parking at the sanctuary so we recommend that you utilize the nearby parking garage which charges $1.50 per hour.
