Hiking

The backcountry surrounding Aspen is a hiker's paradise. In fact, there is no better way to get back in touch with nature and explore the Aspen area than on foot. Pack a picnic and set out on your own (see our Hiking Trails section for detailed information) or hire a guide and learn as you go. And don't be wary if you're not an Alpine ace - there are trails for everyone here, from the youngest hiker to the most experienced adventurer!
