Aspen may be known as a popular destination for celebrities, but Aspen is also home to world renowned events. Some are even free. Kicking the year off in style is Aspen's Wintersköl celebration toasting winter with artistic snow sculptures, a soup contest and even a fat bike race! Enjoy fine food and wine? Then make plans to attend the annual FOOD & WINE Classic in Aspen every June. Featuring the world's most incredible chefs and wine experts, Aspen becomes the top destination to discover the latest in culinary trends. In the heat of the summer, Aspen's Old Fashioned Fourth of July Celebration brings patriots old and young back to a time when neighbors and new friends gathered to commemorate the founding of our country. Then art enthusiasts will enjoy a variety of mediums created by nearly 175 artists in Aspen's spectacular summer mountain setting during the Aspen Arts Festival in July.

Old Fashioned 4th of July Celebration
Aspen celebrates Independence Day with small town appeal. Approximately 20,000 local residents and visitors come together to honor the nation's birthday in true American style. Festivities include a parade, live music, picnics, a kids carnival, and spectacular fireworks over Aspen Mountain.

Aspen Arts Festival
Aspen Chamber Resort Association is proud to join Howard Alan Events in hosting the 14th Annual Aspen Arts Festival. The Aspen Arts Festival will provide you an exclusive opportunity to experience a broad range of phenomenal creations ranging from life-size sculptures, photography, glass, paintings, ceramics, one-of-a-kind jewelry, and mixed media.

To celebrate the holiday season, the Aspen Chamber Resort Association is hosting the 12 Days of Aspen. From December 20-31, downtown comes alive with a variety of FREE holiday activities, special treats, and of course a visit from Santa! Aspen's annual "toast to winter," dates back to a quiet January in 1951 when local Aspenites decided to celebrate Aspen's unique Nordic lifestyle with an eclectic weekend of festivities. The four day celebration features Soupsköl, the Canine Fashion Show, WinterFest, the Fat Cycle Challenge, fireworks over Aspen Mountain, and much more.
