With the extraordinary growth in the Roaring Fork Valley in the past 20 years, the Aspen and downvalley communities have had to adjust, responding with increased affordable housing purchasing opportunities for residents, and renting opportunities for newcomers.

There are now more housing opportunities than ever. Rental housing and real estate for purchase can be found in the classified ad sections of The Aspen Times and Aspen Daily News or through the Pitkin County Housing Office. The Housing Office's purpose is to manage and supply affordable housing for people employed in Pitkin County, the county which encompasses Aspen, Snowmass Village, Old Snowmass and a portion of Basalt.
